This audio visual began as a podcast created for Andy Oxley at Screen 3 Productions, based loosely on the Desert Island Disks format. It morphed into something else: first an audio piece with sound-effects; then a moving-image collage of found footage.
It is a Postcard from Lockdown: as I have learnt to live in the right side of my brain and reconnect with the creativity of play. Revisiting childhood seems to have been key to unlocking this.
It is also an affectionate tribute to my parents, siblings and grandma. We're isolated in different parts of the country and I don't know when I will see any of them again. This is the most personal work I have ever created.
I hope it resonates...
